Ingredients:

 Bread Pudding:

3 cups of whole milk

1 1/2 cups of white sugar

1/4 cup of butter, melted

Three eggs, beaten

2 tbsp. light brown sugar

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Ten slices of hearty farmhouse-style bread, toasted and cut into cubes

1 cup of raisins

 Vanilla Sauce:

1-1/4 cups of whole milk

1/2 cup of light brown sugar

2 tbsp. butter melted

One egg

1 tbsp. all-purpose flour

One pinch of ground cinnamon

1 pinch salt 1 tbsp. vanilla extract

Directions:

Bring the oven up to temperature (375 F/190 C). Prepare a 2-quart baking dish by greasing it. Bread pudding combines bread cubes with milk, sugar, melted butter, eggs, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix in the bread cubes and raisins gently. Put the mixture into the baking dish carefully.

Cook for 50–55 minutes in a preheated oven until the center is browned and set; cover the dish with foil after 30 minutes to avoid over-browning. Ten minuteutes of resting time is recommended before serving pudding.

In a large saucepan, combine the milk, brown sugar, butter, egg, flour, cinnamon, and salt and stir until smooth; this will be the vanilla sauce. The sauce should thicken and coat the back of a spoon after 10 to 12 minutes of cooking over medium heat while being whisked frequently.

Blend with some vanilla flavoring. Warm bread pudding may be topped with sauce, or the sauce can be served on the side.
